Judge Ruben Guerrero Endowment
The University of Houston Hispanic Alumni Association created a scholarship in honor Judge Ruben Guerrero’s (UH ‘73) incredible legacy.
Judge Ruben Guerrero Endowment
The University of Houston Hispanic Alumni Association (UHHAA) requests your support in remembering a great friend and alumnus of the University.
The first in his family to graduate from college, Judge Guerrero received his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston in 1973, and later received his law degree from Texas Southern University. He practiced criminal law, and in 1992, Governor Ann Richards appointed him to serve as Judge of the 263rd State District Court. He was later appointed Regional Director of the Small Business Administration Agency, where he managed 10 SBA offices in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico. In 2008, the citizens of Harris County elected him Judge of the 174th State District Court. He retired in 2016.
Judge Guerrero was a tremendous supporter of the Houston community and the University of Houston. The UH Hispanic Alumni Association asks that you help preserve his legacy at the University of Houston by contributing to the Judge Ruben Guerrero Endowment.
All donations are welcome, and you may contribute by check or credit card.
Mail checks to the following: University of Houston Alumni Association, PO Box 230345, Houston, TX 77223-0345. Checks should be made payable to the University of Houston Alumni Association. Please place Ruben Guerrero Endowment Fund in the memo line.
The University of Houston is a tax-exempt entity and contributions are tax-deductible; the University of Houston’s tax ID number is (74-6001399).
